Pet Insurance Important Notes
How we've offered this policy to you
We have offered you this policy from one insurer as they are our preferred provider for this Pet Insurance product.
What we do for you
On your behalf we establish your insurance requirements, find a product to meet your needs and provide you with the key features of that policy. We arrange cover for you and handle and settle claims on behalf of the Insurer.
Your demands and needs
Whilst we are not making a personal recommendation, the policy we are offering is based on the information provided by you and includes the levels(s) of cover, policy features and additional cover options required to meet your individual circumstances. A record of your requirements is shown in your policy schedule. Please make one final check that your sums insured/limits of indemnity are adequate as claims payments could be proportionately reduced if any sums insured are too low. If any details are incorrect, or your circumstances change, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Charges for making changes or cancelling your policy
We do not charge any admin fees for cancelling or for any changes to your policy.
Any claim resulting from the death/permanent loss (referred as Total Loss) of the insured animal will result in the immediate cancellation of the contract and no refund of the annual premium will be allowed. The benefits under the policy are not transferable. Upon cancellation of the policy following a Total Loss, where the policy premium is being paid in instalments the outstanding balance is still due and we reserve the right to deduct any outstanding premium from any claim settlement.
Methods of communication
Your documentation will be sent to you by post. If you would also like to receive a copy by email, please contact us.
Pet age at inception
You can insure your pet from 5 weeks.
Policy inception
Unless a future start date has been requested cover starts from the moment we receive and accept your application and runs for twelve months. Any veterinary treatment for illness which arises during the first 10 days of the policy is excluded. Completing this proposal form does not guarantee cover. Policies are issued subject to terms and conditions.
Cover details
Cover for veterinary treatment does not include vaccinations, preventative or elective treatment, whelping, kittening, spaying or castration or for any condition which was present before the policy was taken out.
Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)
Premiums quoted include Insurance Premium Tax at the current rate.
Receiving your policy
Please allow up to ten days for your policy to reach you. Please read it carefully and quote your policy number should you have to contact us.
Material facts
Failure to disclose material facts could result in your policy being invalidated. Material facts are those which might influence the acceptance or assessment of your Proposal. If you are in any doubt as to whether a fact is material, you should disclose it.
Important paperwork
A record (including copies of letters) should be kept by you of all information supplied to the company for the purpose of entering into the contract.
A copy of the completed proposal form will be supplied by the company on request within a period of three months after its completion.
Dogs third-party liability
