Pampered Pets at Christmas
February 01, 2021

So the festive season is fast approaching and it's time to start the Christmas shopping but do you buy a present for your pet?
Cats and dogs are not just our pets but part of the family and many families will not exclude them from the Christmas celebrations. Times are still hard in the current economy with belts being tightened on Christmas spending, so are pet presents something we can really afford?
According to national pet retailer Pets at Home in 2012, the average spend on a pet present was £38 with 75% of pet owners buying gifts for their four legged friends. Probably the most interesting fact was that some 66% of people surveyed would spend more on a pet than a partner!
Presents for pets
So what exactly do we buy for our pets that we wouldn't normally give them? Well here are some ideas for pet Christmas gifts, from luxury to a token gesture!
- Real diamond collar
- Pet camera for cats and dogs
- Bamboo cat tower
- Dog umbrella lead
- Pet advent calendar
If you want to treat your pet this year at Christmas but you are on a budget, why not bake them some homemade dog biscuits and cat treats, extra fun walks and lots of cuddles...it's the thought that counts!
