Specimen Policy
We are very willing to upload both our Important Notes page and also a specimen copy of our Pet Insurance Policy document as we believe that transparency and truth is essential to a good relationship with our clients - which probably explains why they stay with Healthy-Pets!
Please note however that neither constitute an agreement to enter into a contract and are provided as specimen documents only.
Insured clients of ours will always receive a signed Schedule of Insurance with their Policy Documents.
Pet Insurance Important Notes
1) You can insure your pet from 6 weeks.
2) Cover starts from the moment we receive and accept your application and runs for twelve months. Any veterinary treatment for illness which arises during the first 10 days of the policy is excluded Completing this proposal form does not guarantee cover. Policies are issued subject to terms and conditions
3) Cover for veterinary treatment does not include vaccinations, preventative or elective treatment, whelping, kittening, spaying or castration or for any condition which was present before the policy was taken out.
4) Premiums quoted include Insurance Premium Tax at the current rate.
5) Please allow up to 10 days for your policy to reach you. Please read it carefully and quote your policy number should you have to contact us.
6) Failure to disclose material facts could result in your policy being invalidated. Material facts are those which might influence the acceptance or assessment of your Proposal. If you are in any doubt as to whether a fact is material, you should disclose it.
7) A record (including copies of letters) should be kept by you of all information supplied to the company for the purpose of entering into the contract.
8) A copy of the completed proposal form will be supplied by the company on request within a period of three months after its completion.
9) Third party liability insurance applies only if you are not already adequately covered by your Household Insurance Policy. In the event of a third party claim there is an excess of £100.
10) Healthy Pets business is Pet Insurance. Healthy Pets is an independent intermediary. 11) Data Protection
The Insurer is Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC and Groupama Insurance Company Ltd.To set up and administer your policy we will hold and use information about you supplied by you. We may send it in confidence for processing to other companies in the Underwriting Group (or companies acting on our instructions) including those located outside the European Economic Area. By purchasing this insurance you consent to such use of your data.
Law Applicable
You are free to choose the law applicable to this contract (or policy). Your contract (or policy) will be governed by the law of England and Wales unless you and we have agreed otherwise
