PRESS RELEASE
Radio 5 Live Debates Pet Insurance Report
Mark Effenberg, Chief Executive Officer for Healthy Pets has been interviewed by Radio 5 Live regarding the recently published pet insurance report titled 'Protect Your Pet' in the Consumers' Association publication Which? Magazine.
'What's pet insurance really worth?' was the theme of the report, which was carried through to the Radio 5 Live programme. Researchers chose Mark Effenberg as an ideal candidate to hold the debate with Healthy Pets firmly established in the specialist pet sector.
The Which? magazine report dissected leading pet insurance policies explaining to the consumer the whys and the wherefores, pitfalls and benefits of insuring their cat or dog. Premium costs, maximum ages, vet bill cover, life cover and other issues where investigated fully. Details such as how quickly into the policy claims can be made, alternative treatments, accident, lost or stolen pets, holiday cancellation for life-saving treatment where also discussed and compared policy with policy.
The Which? magazine report detailed owners' real life experiences pointing out where errors can be made in choosing the best policy for their pet and situation. Some figures given in the report where questioned by Mark Effenberg, whose company has specialised in insuring pets since 1996. Mark's opinion was that, at around £10 for an average monthly premium, and a broken leg costing between about £1,000 - £1,500, owners should choose insurance every time!
With major players such as Marks & Spencer, Saga, Help the Aged, Halifax & Direct Line competing for pet insurance, Healthy Pets remains independent and specialist choosing to trade on the trust of its policy holders to gain one of the highest renewal rates in the industry.
Healthy Pets has a strong and growing on-line presence at www.healthy-pets.co.uk.
