Healthy Pets insurance Reach Finals for Sustainable Business Awards 2008

Leading online pet insurer, Healthy Pets Limited, has reached the finals of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainable Business Awards. The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in November at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.
Healthy Pets new state of the art offices in Petersfield were designed with the environment in mind with energy saving devices such as a heating system programmed to be reduced by one degree in winter. Water usage is reduced by short flush sanitaryware. The offices are situated near both bus and railway stations enabling employees to use public transport and cycling to work is encouraged. Flexible working hours also help to reduce emissions of peak time travel.
In 2007 the Company achieved a Carbon Neutral Certificate and it is office policy to shred 100% of waste paper, return all printer cartridges and recycle all cardboard. Local suppliers are used to cut fuel emissions of the national suppliers and future plans include the total use of recycled paper in the supply chain.
