Healthy Pets Shows its Green Credentials

Pet insurance specialist Healthy Pets is not only a company that cares for your pets, but also the world they live in. For the third year running, it is proud to announce that it is still a fully 100% carbon neutral company!
Three years ago Healthy Pets enlisted the aid of Carbon Offsets Limited to assess their carbon footprint and help become carbon neutral. In layman’s terms, this means that Healthy Pets puts exactly the same amount of Carbon Dioxide (C02) it uses back into the environment. With an annual assessment keeping track of the business each year, Healthy Pets are proud to announce that this fine record continues to this day.
Mark Effenberg, Healthy Pets Chief Executive, said, “In this day and age, being environmentally friendly goes hand in hand with being a successful ethical business. When the opportunity came to investigate and manage our C02 omissions, we went to every length to ensure we’d be fully compliant with Carbon Offset’s regulations”
The assessment include an onsite evaluation of the firms carbon emissions and energy efficiency carried out by Energy Footprint Ltd. Following government guidelines, the entire business chain is looked at. This starts from suppliers of raw materials up to final customer base, eliminating waste and streamlining the company’s operations along the way.
The scheme has proved to be a success, and the business is continuing to grow whilst taking the appropriate steps to protect the environment. Mark continues, “For the third year now we are actively investing in international projects that will replace the same amount of Carbon Dioxide we produce.”
Since 1997, Healthy Pets has remained independent and specialist choosing to trade on the trust of its policyholders to gain one of the highest renewal rates in the industry.
